The Model T Ford first produced in 1908 is the car which 'put America on wheels', along with many other countries of the world. It was in production for 19 years and was the first car to be built on a moving assembly line, though this innovation did not take place until 1913, two years after the display car was made. In all just over 15 million were built.
While remaining essentially the same vehicle, the Model T was progressively developed throughout its production years and restyling for 1911 brought new fenders, radiator and wheels along with engine and rear axle modifications.
Until 1917 Model Ts were fitted with brass radiator surrounds and other fittings and are commonly called 'Brass Ts' to distinguish them from later models with black painted or nickel plated radiator surrounds.
The display car was Canadian assembled and has had only three previous owners. It is still fitted with its original leather upholstery
