This model was introduced in 1948 with independent front suspension and hydro-mechanical brakes, the body was built on a wooden frame and unfortunately susceptible to rot. Only 200 of these cars were produced.
This car was imported new into Nelson in 1952 by Ernest Geoghan, owner of the Hotel Nelson, expressly for the purpose of making it available for use by the Duke of Edinburgh and the Queen during their first Royal Tour of 1952/53.
