Car Collection

Overland built 1700 of these torpedo roadsters but this is one of only six which are known to survive worldwide. It was imported new by Herbert Dix Cycles of Rangiora and sold to a Canterbury farmer, who was the last driver of the vehicle until it fell into disrepair. . 

The car is currently on loan to the museum from Mr Lou McDowell of Richmond who has restored the car to an immaculate standard.
